From morning breakfast to elegant dinners, Avalon Waterways has always invited travelers to free their taste buds from the ordinary. In 2019, the river cruise operator is taking even more steps to turn the tables onboard with the introduction of FlexDiningSM for Avalon guests.
“Our new FlexDining program invites Avalon guests to enjoy more flexibility at breakfast, lunch and dinner,” said Pam Hoffee, managing director of Avalon Waterways. “In addition to providing guests with multiple dining venues like the Panorama Bistro and the Sky Grill to bringing healthy food options to the plate with Avalon Fresh®, FlexDining offers our guests the opportunity to enjoy open dining times, more two-top tables for couples, bar service on the Sky Deck and daily night fare, on request, at the bar. We even provide complimentary picnic lunches to those interested in taking their dining experience off the ship.”
With the introduction of Avalon Fresh® in 2017 – a partnership with rising culinary stars Leo and Karl Wrenkh – that features healthy food options with the freshest ingredients from local farms and suppliers, Avalon Waterways has focused on bringing amazing to travelers plates. Now, the company is inviting guests to choose the onboard dining venue – and times – that suit their mood, from a breezy al fresco lunch at the Sky Grill and less formal “sit-down” atmosphere of the Panorama Bistro to an elegant, four-course dinner in the glass-walled dining room.
“At whatever table setting or time our guests choose to dine, they have the opportunity to savor local flavors and the familiar favorites they may crave throughout their vacation,” said Hoffee. “On an Avalon cruise, every meal is part of the journey.”
